Sport

Heath House believes that sport should be treated with the same level of seriousness as any other subject. Sport is vital to children’s physiological development, to their performance in class and to their general self-discipline. A sports programme has been designed in order to secure the following objectives:

  • relevant skills in a wide range of sports
  • knowledge of the rules of those sports
  • physical fitness
  • ability to work as a team member
  • excellence in sportsmanship
  • developing fair play
  • enjoyment

Heath House has the use of a fully equipped gymnasium within a sports centre, as well as rugby and football pitches nearby on the Heath.

In both the Pre-Prep and Prep parts of the school, a different sport is undertaken three times a week per term. These are as follows:
